Power BI OData Feed Load Time Out

Hi,

From Power BI Desktop, we are using OData Feed to use Customers V3 entity from a Production environment as report data source., but got time out error:

There are over 300k customer records so the error is understandable.

However, can we set to increase the time out?

Please check this thread in PowerBi forum:

You could set time out by the following parameter.

OData.Feed("xxxxxxx?cross-company=true", null ,[Timeout=#duration(0, 0, 30, 0)])

You should not use OData as a data source when dealing with big volumes. Instead consider setting up BYODB (Bring Your Own Database) or Azure Data Lake export.

Hi HAIRUL HAZRI,

As Nikolaos said, it may not works for you by OData.

From the experience, BYOD will solve your problems.
