Integration GP to Dynamics 365 for sales in the cloud

Hello,

I'm soon going to be embarking on integrating GP on premise to Dynamics 365 for sales in the cloud (currently CRM on premise) and I'm wondering if anyone has advise or experience with which integration tool is the preferred and why. I'm considering eOne products as I'm already familiar with them, however I've heard of other users using Logic Aps or similar. I'm really curious to know what others are using in this space and why along with any pitfalls to watch out for.

Thank you

Use SmartConnect from eOne. It just works. I am biased because I've used it for so long, but it is intuitive as long as you have a general understanding of the GP and 365 tables. They have an on-premise version and also a hosted version.

You'll get the awesome side benefit of being able to automate stuff in GP and in D365 too.

I've used it to integrate Customers, Vendors, RMAs, RTVs, In-Transit Transfers, Items, Salespeople, SOP Invoices/Returns from GP to 365 and Accounts and Products from 365 back to GP.

The biggest pitfall as you already probably know is there aren't eConnect procedures for all of the modules in GP.

    I hope this helps.

You need to talk to a partner that has this experience in the integration you are look for. I have GP 2018 R2 integration to CRM using Scribe with the Sales Orders being able to imported to GP. As with any 3rd party integration there will be challenges. I would move to the D365 1st, then work on your GP integration

A few of our challenges, Sales Person (if using), Shipping Addresses, Backup order vs fulfill and and Credit limits. Once you start, you will find your challenges and will require to make adjustment to your logic.

    Good Luck!
