MRP Across All Sites

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi:

As we all know, MRP in GP runs by individual Site, without consolidation for all Sites in planning.

The way around this could be setting up Bins inside a Site.  Doing so would require some initial data conversion and subsequent workflow changes.  But, how hard is it to convert “selected” (not all) Sites to the Site-Bin structure?

In general, does this pose too much of a challenge to end users to conduct their usual activity?

Thanks!

John

    Hello John,

Thank you for using Community Forums. My name is Becky and I will assist you.

If you did not convert all sites to be a bin, they would not be included in the MRP process. Many users opt out of using Multibin to converts sites to bins because this also requires additional steps when entering transactions.

My suggestion would be to go to Product Suggestion and vote on the MRP for multiple sites suggestion.
