Account created from Dynamics 365 does not sync back Customer no assigned from Business Central

When an account is created in dynamics 365 and then pushed to business central through the integration the record in business central is given a customer No .  however this is not synced back to the dynamics 365 record.

I have modified the integration field mapping to map the Business Central Customer no field to the Dynamics 365 Account Number field.  and when I force the synchronization or create the record from business central the field in dynamics 365 gets populated.

So with the above I can say that the field mapping has been done correctly however it seems that when the customer is created in business central it does not trigger a change back to dynamics 365 in order to update the mentioned field.  any clues on how this should be done ?

Correct, then the only way to do this is manually, either:

    - filtering all customers in BC with Last Modified By/Date and running Synchronize Now for selected customers, or

    - running Synchronize Modified Records from Integration Table Mapping for CUSTOMER mapping and deleting Synch Modified On Filter in Integration table mapping.

Manual Sync works fine both ways and the account number gets copied into CRM but I need this to happen when an account is first inserted from crm to BC.  in other words some way to trigger back an update to CRM once BC assigns the account number.  it is not done by default since record would be modified by integration user which is ignored for sync

    Hi tbezzina

Customer to account synchronization is bidirectional synchronization. By default, synchronization is triggered only between coupled records. What happens when you click Synchronize Now and choose direction is that BC customer and Account get coupled in the background.

Integration table mappings page contains a flag Sync Only Coupled records where you can control this.

You can read more about this here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/admin-how-to-modify-table-mappings-for-synchronization#creating-new-records
