Dear Community

Please explain to me the access levels (User, Business Unit, Parent: Child Business Unit) of Create privileges. What is difference between Create with scope is User, Business Unit and Parent: How is Child Business Unit ?.

I have organizational chart is as follows:
Business Unit Company 1, has user Director1 attached to the R_Director role
Business Unit team1 (belonging to BU Company 1) has 3 employees:
- user leader is assigned the role R_leader
- user member1 is assigned the role R_member
- user member2 is assigned the role R_member
Define permissions as follows:
R_Director: Entity Lead, Create Rights, Parent: child Business unit scope
R_leader: Entity Lead, Create Rights, Business unit scope
R_member: Entity Lead, Create Rights, User scope

So with the R_leader role, what is the difference between the scope Business Unit, User and Parent: How is Child Business Unit when create Lead?
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Records created by user leader with the R_leader role and user Director1 with the R_Director role are owned by the business unit in where they are located.
Records created by users with the R_member role are owned only by them.

If user leader is given read access at the business unit level, then he can read all records in the business unit he is in, including those created by user Director1.
If user member1 and user member2 are given read permissions at the user level, then they can only read the records that they created.

    Thank for your answer.
So what happens? If I change the scopes as follows:
    - R_leader: Entity Lead, Create Rights - User scope, Read Rights - Business Unit scope
    - R_member: Entity Lead, Create Rights, Business Unit scope, Read Rights - User scope

Thank you for bringing up this topic regarding access levels and privileges in creating leads within organizational structures. Understanding the nuances between different scopes, such as User, Business Unit, and Parent: Child Business Unit, is crucial for effectively managing permissions and access rights.
