Our team is currently exploring ways to enhance the integration between Dynamics 365 and BizTalk 2016, specifically focusing on data related to orders, invoices, and related entities.
Current Approach:
- File-Based Communication: We are utilizing a method where CSV or XML files are exported/imported between Dynamics 365 and BizTalk, using shared folders as the medium for data exchange.
- Web Services: We also leverage web services exposed by Dynamics 365, which are consumed by BizTalk to facilitate data communication.
- While these methods have served us reasonably well, we are always on the lookout for optimizing and potentially automating our processes further.
Questions:
- Alternative Methods: Are there alternative methods or best practices to facilitate a more real-time or automated data exchange between Dynamics 365 and BizTalk 2016?
