Turn on Global withholding tax for Item Withholding Tax

Hi guys,

I would like to calculate withholding tax at the item level by using Item Withholding Tax, it is requested to turn on @Enable global withholding tax at GL Parameter.

I got the popup suggestion, but I am not sure what is it, where I can enable in a new withholding tax settlement period.

Besides, when I turn on the @Enable global withholding tax in the specific legal entity, will this same setup apply on other entities?

Hi,
It only serves as a reminder as described, and you can click OK directly if it is enabled during a new withholding tax settlement period.
The global withholding tax feature involves some localization and when you enable it on a specific legal entity it will not apply to other legal entities. Because this feature is not available in some regions.

Hello,

You can enable this, however setup wont be shared to all LEs, because this is a entity specific setup.

Hi,

Enabling global withholding tax in a new settlement period ensures that the system applies the withholding tax rules and calculations correctly to transactions occurring within that period. By enabling it at the start of a new period, you establish a clean slate for the system to accurately track and manage withholding tax obligations for the period's transactions.

If you have monthly settlement periods, system is suggesting you to enable on 1st of the month.
