I'm creating an external lead generation form on wordpress elementor and we are going to use capture forms to store the submissions in CRM.
We want customers to tick a box in order to opt in to marketing that we will map to the 'do not allow bulk emails' field which we use to manage our unsubscribes.
However the default option with this field is 'Allow', so users have to tick the box on forms to opt out as opposed to opting in, which is what we need for GDPR reasons.
So the question is if there is a way around this and can we have it on the form so users need to tick or select allow, with do not allow being the default option?
Would appreciate any help! Thanks
thanks a lot, I'll take a look at that today.
Just checking, will that impact the value of the field on existing contacts?
We also use it on our email unsubscribe form, so would that be affected too?
You can change the default value for that field.
