Hi,
Why is the post button disabled for the Journals in these 2 scenarios:
1. Journals that were created prior to activating the workflow
2. Journals that were created before deactivating the workflow.
Can the existing journals be fixed or we have to delete and recreate?
Best Regards,
HI MYGz,
Can you provide the exact steps how you activated or deactivate the workflow? Did you do that on the workflow version or did you change the workflow settings on the journal name?
Hi Andre,
I changed it from Journal Name settings by toggling the Approval switch.
Thanks.
Do you see workflow option on journal which is created?
Generally if workflow is active and journal is created , after that if you deactivate it will now allow you to post because it has workflow configuration.
Either delete or activate workflow and post
Hi MYGz,
When creating the journal header, a field is maintained for the Workflow approval status. On creation of the header, this is set to None when the Approval workflow is not enabled. When it is enabled the status is Draft. You can only post journals when the status is None or Approved.
So, in this case, you need to complete the workflow or recreate the journals with the lines.
Additional tip: You can save the current lines as a voucher template and retrieve them in the new journal to save some time.
