I have a self installed VM in Windows Server 2012 R2 for M-POS, when I try open Retail POS (beta) with domain\administrator, I got error

6557.Capture.PNG

In event viewer

Activation of app Microsoft.Dynamics.Retail.Pos.Beta_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App failed with error: This app can't be activated by the Built-in Administrator. See the Microsoft-Windows-TWinUI/Operational log for additional information.

When I look into Microsoft-Windows-TWinUI/Operational log

The app Microsoft.Dynamics.Retail.Pos.Beta_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App could not be activated for the Windows.Launch contract because the current user is an Administrator with a full token. Only split token Administrators can activate apps.

I've look into this post https://community.dynamics.com/ax/f/33/t/129751 but can't understand how to solve it.

I've try login VM from a different user, let say domain\axuser, but I can't see Retail POS (beta) in my list of apps.

Can anybody tell me how to log in Modern POS ?

Thanks for the reply. The links provided are more on activation issue, but my problem is I can't even reach to the activation screen.

When I use http://win-5un1ne9h382:5100/RetailServer/v1/$metadata , I get a prompt to download but nothing get downloaded.

I installed using AX setup, and follow guide 80637_AX2012R3_ENUS_RETAIL_BM_06_PUB. I read that it is supported for Windows Server 2012 R2.

    Any step went wrong ?

This post works for me http://www.bleepingtech.com/windows-8-fix-this-app-cant-open-for-built-in-administrator-account/

Now I'm advance to another level of error - There was a problem signing in. Try entering the operator ID and password again.

User '000160' logon request (type - 'PasswordWithNoDevice') on device '' using 'LocalDatabase' threw an exception: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException (0x80131904): Invalid column name 'ISPUBLISHEDTOLOCAL'.

I have my device listed in the device form, publish store, run all job for the store. Restart many times. Still the same error.

I will mark this as verified answer as it solve my question above. If anyone face the same issue as me, please give me some guidance. Thanks.
