Hi All,

Does anyone experienced of creating a Sales order and sales order line but no record for "InventTransOrigin" table was created?

This issue is intermittent. Once I restart the AOS, it will be working fine but later on the issue arises again.

Hope someone knows a solution.

Thanks in advance for your help. :)

This is bit weird.  Do you have any customizations in these areas? Do you get any error message? Can you debug the insert method of salesLineType class. Also check if there are any customizations in classes inventUpd_Estimated and inventUpdate, as these are used to create the record in inventTransOrigin when salesLine is created.

Also check if there is any custom batch process running in the system which is impacting this area.

    Thanks,

    Rachit Garg

    Hi Rachit Garg,

    Thank you for your response.

No customizations have been done on this area. I have already invoked debugging on InventUpd_Estimated::inventUpdate. It has a condition checking if there was already a record on InventTransOrigin table and this is returning true although the record on SalesLine was newly created.

Just to inform you, we do have two companies and these companies are using the same format of number sequence for Sales Order. I'm not sure if this is part of the issue. Cause based on my analysis on the condition checking if there was already a record on InventTransOrigin it is checking a global cache.

    Thanks,

We have seen this issue.  In at least one case we are certain it was related to the changing of the sign on the movement line (sales order line in our case), and some of the steps a user can take in making that happen.  I have also recently seen a few cases where the InventTransOrigin record is created, but the InventTransOriginSalesLine is not.  Once I create the InventTransOriginSalesLine record manually (often I can identify it's original RecId and re-use that), all is well again.

Our clients also face the same problem. (AX 2012 R2 CU7, 8 companies, same numberseq format for SO and inventTransId in each companies) It seems that the issue occurs while the master planning is running during the creation of the sales order, but we are still in the dark. Any solution, tips, anybody?

This may be a silly question - but is the item a "stocked" item (released product / Item Model Group / Stock Policy / stocked Product).

From memory, non stocked products do not use trans records.

    Hope this helps ;)
