SOP Document emails (re-sending historical documents)

When attempting to re-send an SOP document by email, there doesn't seem to be an option to change the send to email address.

I had assumed that whatever email address was held against the customer would be the one used to send the email, This is the case on the first time you send an email, but on subsequent attempts, the email address stays set as the one originally used.

This implies that you're not allowed to make a mistake when you first set the email address and that your customers don't ever change email addresses..

Please can anyone confirm that the behaviout I see is correct and that I haven't missed something obvious?

You're correct - this seems to be the default behavior of the GP emailing. The only way I have been able to address this is by changing the email address directly in SQL in the SY04915 table. :-(

    Thank you Victoria,

I can see some logic in locking the details (it's a record of who the document was sent to originally), but it does seem odd to omit the ability to change email adresses - have you heard of any moves to add the functionality? (perhaps in GP2020!)

    Carl,

I have not heard of anything planned to change this - but by 2020 anything is possible. :-)

I would recommend voting for this suggestion here: connect.microsoft.com/.../gp-change-email-address-on-history-documents

The more votes, the more likely it is to happen.

This seems to still be the case in GP2013.  Do you know if that is a correct statement?  Lisa

    Hi Lisa,

I have not seen any changes to this in GP 2013.
