Compilation Running for Long time

Hi All,

I am installing AX 2012 R3 CU11 in one of the azure instance. I have copied the CU11 updates into Setup->Update folder.  After installation, Its showed the R3 Cu11 version. After that,  I have started the initialization checklist 03May2018 11 AM. Compilation is running more than 24 hours and its continuing. Not able to check whether its running or not running. Compiler Output screen shows the same message  more than 

hours. How to check, whether it's actually running? or we need to wait till it finish or any message comes?

Because, 

Server: Windows 2012, SQL 2012, 32GB RAM and having enough memory space.

Anyone face this kind of scenario?

    First thing have you checked event viewer for the error massages ?,

    and did u try to update with CU11 or Install with Split Stream ?

    while you can deploy VMs without issue with LCS , why do you trying to install it in VM separately ? any specific requirement ?

    Hi Prasanna,

    I have checked and don’t see any related issues in the ever viewer.

    This is ax2013 R3 fresh installation by using CU11 split stream.

    I am going to do code migration from ax2012 RTM to ax2012 R3 version. So, I choosed this method.

    If I were you I would not compile using client at all. Use AXBuild utility, it works several times faster

    Hi All,

    Its allowed me to close the compiler output window and message window.  Also, compile application checklist is marked as green tick mark.

    It looks system completed full compilation and message not appears in output window. Its my assumption.

    Anyhow, I have done the build compile and synchronization after that.
