Certification of Boms

We auto create multi-level boms, items etc in NAV 2013 from data in a cad solution.  Our one issue that put a drag on this process is that these boms are created with a (certification) status of NEW. I understand that this is standard NAV functionality.  We would like to have the primary bom and all sub-boms auto created as CERTIFIED either as they are being created from external data, or by activating some routine or method to do so once these boms have been created.  Is anyone aware of any solution that would satisfy this requirement?

    hi,

    only some suggestions, many solutions to do this.

    With NAV execution

    Create a new field "New BOM" on Bom Header or use Insert Data

    With NAV NAS  (Batch execution)

    > Schedule a report (polling execution) that runs only on New Boms Imported and call OnAfterValidate trigger on fileld "Status" on Bom Heder Table.

    With NAV Web Services (real time execution)

    > Use WS to expose page or codeunit and call this service to change Status

    > if possibile call exposed web services from CAD Application and pass Certificate Status after import

    USE SQL SERVER Automations

    > Use SQL Server Stored procedure or SQL functions (scheduled or real time) to change BOM Status

    Hi

    Nothing available from manufacturing set up and the Production BOM you are referring to is an option box and the first (default) value is New. So I would suggest only potential fix is some code.
