.NET variable error in AL for NAV 2018

Hi All,

I had used a Digital Signature Addin in NAV 2017 which uses .NET variables, while using the same in NAV 2018 using VS Code (Extensions) It says .NET is not recognized as valid type. After some research I've know that .NET is not supported in AL . I'm upgrading the project so I need this Addin. How to move about?

Unfotunately there's no native support for dotNet variable now in AL. ACTUALLY /maybe things could change in the future) the only sopported and recommended way to use DotNet with AL is by using Azure functions. You can rewrite your .NET code by wrapping it in an Azure function and call it from NAV.

Part of them has been replaced by new data types. For example - HttpClient, XMLDocument e.t.c.

For other part you can use Azure Functions, as Stefano wrote.
