I have set a new table field on the customer card "Portfolio Groups".

On the sales header I would like to have this field flow from the customer card to the sales invoice page.

I am attempting to use the field class flow field and I am unsuccessful.

Can anyone assist.

    add a new field (field id e.g. 50000) in table 112 sales invoice header with same data type and length as the field portfolio groups in table customer. then set field property fieldclass to flowfield and property calcformula to Lookup(Customer."Portfolio Groups" WHERE (No.=FIELD(Sell-to Customer No.)))

    I believe you are referring to Sales Invoice not Posted Sales Invoice. What have you tried till now and how are you adding the field ?

    You can achieve this using flowfield or adding code in the sales header table.

    One option is to do as Jonathan advised, see also samples: dynamicsuser.net/.../how-to-create-flow-field-lookup-to-different-table. Another option is to create a small piece of code that would write the needed info into the field, as having too many flowfields might degrade your database performance (however adding few usually does not load the database much).
