SSRS Report deployment issue from both Visual Studio and AOT

Dear All,

I am getting below error when I deploy report form visual studio or AOT for AX 2012 R3 CU11, Window Server 2012 Standard.

  • An error occurred : The system cannot find the file specified. If User Account Control (UAC) is enabled on the machine, close the application, right-click the application, and then click Run as administrator.
  • The deployment was aborted. You do not have privileges to deploy to server: vm. For deployment, you must have administrative rights to the SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) server. Contact your administrator to deploy.

Things I have done so far:

1.the account I am using to deploy has sufficient rights on reporting services manager url

2.service account and execution(both are ax business proxy account) specified for reporting services.

3.All the users AOS,Business proxy, deploying user accounts are included in the local administrator group and remote registry is enabled and UAC is disabled.

Works in the below cases:

after restart the server when I face the issue, deployment happens fine, here I suspect that permissions for the user in administrator group disabled after some time.

Can you please help me on this.

Thanks,

Take a look at the Troubleshooting SSRS deployment issues post from Microsoft, see if you have forgotten something:

@Crispin,the account already has rights at both levels

went through the Microsoft report deployment issue link, seems the below thing sounds similar to my issue.

If you want to administer a report server instance locally, you must complete additional configuration steps to deploy Reporting Services on Windows Server 2008. Windows Server 2008 limits the overuse of elevated permissions by removing administrator permissions when users try to access applications. Because the operating system removes permissions, members of the local Administrators group run most applications as if they are using the Standard User account. Although this practice improves the overall security of a system, it prevents you from using the predefined, built-in role assignments that Reporting Services creates for local administrators.

How to: Configure a Report Server for Local Administration on Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 (UAC) at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=200938.

Anybody experienced or worked around the above highlighted thing for the deployment issue.

    Thanks,

yes,I can able to do that.

Server removes permissions for the user in the local administrator group at some point of time, may be when more users logged on to Server as I can see the user account that I added in the administrator group shows with the symbol? or digits when report deployment issue appears.

    Thanks

It is applicable for the windows server 2012 as well as per MS.

Not when open VS, when more users logged on to the Server machine remotely which I observed when the issue comes and the user account shows either symbol ? or numeric digits in the administrator group.

Tried it, the same error comes, seems I need to work on the  How to: Configure a Report Server for Local Administration on Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 (UAC).
