Hi Experts,
I have worked in almost 3 companies. So i found in company Dynamics ax Storage size round about 6 to 7 GB. But in my last company the storage of dynamics ax is almost 49 GB with that the performance of the system is also not good. Let say if i am making a small table or field the system goes to hang status and busy with a long time. Any suggestion or anyone face this problem.
Best Regards,
Shabir Ahmad
I would start the anylysis by checking Disk Usage reports in SQL Server Management Studio.
Also, not that database backups may (but doesn't have to be) compressed. That could also explain the difference. You'll see if the difference is in the database size or just the backup size.
Given I'm currently working with an AX2009 database which is 100Tb and prior to that an AX2012 which was 9Tb guess this one is right in my sweet spot
It's not the size of the database which is creating the performance issues you are facing. It's more likely to be a combination of the underlying infrastructure, available free space, number of indexes and general database maintenance.
PM me if you'd like to go into more detail.
