Application and CIL Compilation

Hey guys,
So I encountered a series of Problems with AX 2012 (Errors like Failure to generate full CIL, Duplicate type name in assembly, ...) and after a week of troubleshooting i was able to fix them all by compiling and deleting XppIL files and truncating the SysXppAssembly table and some other methods and compiling all over again ! the problem is that I noticed the free storage space on my hard drive was shrinking little by little until it reached 200MB of storage left (before this problem Occured it was 12GB left). How can i free the extra space ? are there any folders i can delete to solve this issue ? (of course without causing any other problems because i've really had enough)
Thanks a lot

You can check temporary files and delete them.

You can try to restart the machine, to clear up some temporary files.

Can you try searching windows where the file is instead. the instructions to search will probably be similar in other versions as well.

Do you have the database on this machine too? Maybe the db has grown, or the transaction log.

Is this a dev, test or prod system?

that was exactly it, it was the database's log files (Test environment). I changed the property of the database (in sql server and shrank the logs then restarted the machine) now i got 79GB of free storage. Thank you very much
