we are implementing purchase invoice approval system using workflow user groups (CU6). We used the common notification setup with all notifications sent promptly and it worked fine. Now, we have some users that would like to get notifications once a day. First I noticed, that in 2017 you cannot aggregate notification e-mails, the optin is no longer available in setup? Then I tried to change notification schedule for one user for once per day (the rest do not have personalized settings) and have some issues:
1. When the approval preceding the specific user is given, then a new job queue (Notification entry dispacher) line is created automatically for each invoice !!! with the name of the preceding approver. The notifications are sent at specified time from the preceding user account and there is no line for that in sent notifications table. The job queue entries will have status "In progress", frozen.
2. There were 3 invoices. At a specified time the specific user received three e-mails with links to all three invoices in each e-mail. Pointless.
3. Alltogether it seems like there are some bugs, has anyone tried this functionality?
