Server - Decktop Client Connectivity

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Dear Members,

We have hosted our Navision 2013 R2 server in data center (Remote Location),  we have installed Desktop Client on our computers but failed to establish connection between two. Please help me with configuration steps. Can we do it without Citrix / RDP?

Regards,

Shrikrishna

    Hi Jonathan,

    Thanks for you reply.

I have already tried to configure .config file but failed to configure it in a proper way. Could you please help me with steps involved in configuring it. client computers are not in AD and also not in same network, server is hosted in data centre and till date we were connecting it through RDP.

    Best Regards,

    Shrikrishna

its not necessary to connect via rdp to the server/terminal server, ...

it's a matter of configuration of the windows client. you only need to know the connectionstring of the nav service and the client pc must be within the same AD than the server, where the nav service resides.

    for editing ClientUserSettings.config follow
