Hi

For one of my client, they migrated the GP server from Domain1 to Domain2, now when we try to connect the Management Reporter - designer, we are getting the message "You don't have permission to perform this operation".

I removed the application service and process service. I tried to configure the MR to the existing the MR database, i am getting the below error.

You don't have permission to perform this operation.
Component: Microsoft.Dynamics.Performance.Reporting.DataAccess.Server.CompanyService
User: Domain2\administrator
Machine: GPSERVER

I would like to know the solution for this issue. Please guide me

Regards,

Durai Murugan R

    Hi

Management Reporter is installed in GP server only, so obviously MR is also moved to the new domain.

    Hi Durai

The GP server that you refer to would that be the C alias record in AD? MVP Ian Grieve talks about using C alias records with GP deployments. You may want to give that a try.

If that doesn't work, I would approach this the same way I would approach moving MR from one server to another.

The critical piece there is the Master key that was used during the installation of the MR.

I can get you the definitive community post discussion if you can't find the same.

    Best to you

    Hi Ven

I solved the issue. I updated the tables security.principal and security.user tables with correct values. MR started to work.
