Hello community,
For our customer we want to use Marketing Orchestration. For this we want to make sure that contacts who received 3 or more emails in the last month, are excluded from Customer Journeys untill the email send count is back tot 2 or less emails per month. It's kind of limiting the number of messages a contacts receives in a certain period.
Hope you can help
Hi Luke Adams /ReneevanderWalt,
We thought of using this workaround option as well but then we realized that this is a behavioral block and this segment will only refresh when the behavioral trigger point (like sent email) occurs and not during a frequent interval. This will let your logic fail i.e. if a contact enters a segment (lets say 3 interactions in last 30 days) and then the segment does not refresh further due to no email interaction activity on any contact, then the contacts in the segment will always remain in the segment as the segment is not going to refresh on its own without new interaction for your last 30 days logic.
We really need the frequency capping functionality on various channels. Hope Microsoft delivers this soon.

Hi LA, this is great, this was exactly what I was looking for!
On your Segment, add a Behaviour block (e.g. Sent Email), there is an Interactions filter (icon on the right of the block) that allows you do Having 3 Interaction is the last month etc (Sent emails is an Interaction, as is Clicked links etc)
Elena,
This feature has been being "in the backlog" for almost a year (I asked for it last June and was told it was already in the backlog).. Is there a # of votes that the idea experience.dynamics.com/.../ needs before it moves from the "backlog" to actual development?
also the site is broken currently, if people want to vote they need to go look down a the bottom in the broken nav to find "sign in" link near the bottom of the page.. looks like some CSS is missing..
Thanks
Josh
Hi Renee,
this feature is often called "frequency cap" but Marketing doesn't have it yet.
please check the idea hub and add your vote for this feature (although it was not called frequency cap there but there was a similar request before) so that we know this feature is in demand.
