Report Definition Customization Extension (RDCE) name does not match

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by

Hi all,

  I am currently experiencing the following error when trying to run reports:

The Report Definition Customization Extension (RDCE) name that is specified in the report does not match the RDCE name that is configured for the report server. The extension in the report is 'AXRDCE', but the extension for the report server is ''. Ensure that the same extension name is specified for both the report and the report server. (rsRdceMismatchError)

       Before this, I had another error and solved it by doing the steps described in this link:

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh389762.aspx

How can I solve this problem please?  Thank you very much

    whats your AX version, attach the modified config file. You had any backup, if so, attach that one as well

    Why you modfified the config file, please share as that may help.

    Have you find out a solution to this error? I'm having the same issue.

    Has the AX reporting services extension been installed on the reporting services machine?

    If you need to install the reporting extension, there's an article here on installing it technet.microsoft.com/.../dd362088.aspx

    Solve the error by going to rsreportserver.config and edit<IsRdceEnabled>True<IsRdceEnabled> to False

    I followed the exact same steps from the doc  and had the same error. I looked at the config on another server and found that you need to add

    <ReportDefinitionCustomization>

          <Extension Name="AXRDCE"

         Type="Microsoft.Dynamics.Framework.Reports.AxRdce.CustomizationExtension,Microsoft.Dynamics.Framework.ReportsExtensions,

         Version=6.3.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35"/>

    </ReportDefinitionCustomization>

    Right before </Extensions>

    If you are using a version besides 2012R3 you will need to update the version number as described in the technet article mentioned in the question.

    After that restart SSRS and reports should work correctly.
