Trigger based Journey (Lead)

Hi,

I am using the Lead Created trigger in a trigger based journey. It basically does this:

Lead created - checks for a specific Topic name
Send an email to Email (primary)

The first part processes but the second doesn't - no error just no data on the email (which isn't sent)

I've tried with a segment (lead created today). I've tested the email and it's fine - and yes, its personalised to the Lead table.

Can anyone help with this one?

Thanks,
Peter.

    Hi Partner,
no error just no data on the email (which isn't sent)?
Is the lead email address not receiving this email?
Could you share screenshot about this journey?
This is my simple example journey:
--I can receive this email successfully after creating one lead.

    Email insight:
Is a scheduled time set in the journey?

I hope you can mark my answer verified if it is helpful! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Why are you using the trigger versus segment?

Very oddly, after a couple of edits to the process, this started working. We had a filter on the Trigger and changing (I think) from a Contains to an Equal (same text) it started.

To answer the question about the segment - we tried that too and it didn't work.

Interesting. In most cases a segment should be sufficient. It just depends on how data is flowing. I’m still waiting for a situation to pop up that requires the use of triggers. It would be nice to do a deep dive to learn how to effectively use them. It’s tough finding examples to learn from.
