Is it possible to have self service portal to look like Prestashop/magento order history website

Hi AX community,

I am new to this community, working in France and setting up the AX for my company.

I am willing to run self service portal but a little afraid of the look like.

Is there a way to have that web to look like Magento/prestashop order history UI? I mean only the list of order, shipping status and the possibility to reorder a past order?

Thanks

JM

    Hi JM,

It is possible to change stylesheets to have a different look. In addition, you can customize the webforms/parts, but I don't know how Magento/prestashop really looks like. If you are missing features, you can add them with help of customizations. ALso you can tweak behavior on forms a bit.

Possibly the EP development cookbook can help you as well: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj225590.aspx

AX allows customization of the portal as André has mentioned above. Since it is based on SharePoint and the AX Enterprise Portal tools, the layout and look-and-feel are very strict. If you want something completely different, that would involve a lot of coding.

Another solution is to create your own web frontend, and access data from AX through Document Services or Custom AIF endpoints.

We chose the latter to query and represent data on our eCommerce portal that is based on Google Polymer technology.

    Here is the documentation:

    Hi André Arnaud,

Basically it looks like any e-commerce website, typically what you could have with Amazon: very empty page with my list of purchases and where i can track a purchase that has not yet been delivered.

Currently i have the feeling I need to provide training so that my customers could use self service portal (which is not something i intend to provide).

Basically i would rather remove features: remove menus, remove things i order to keep it simple.

    Hi Vilmos,

Definitely Sharepoint/AX enterprise portal tools looks very old fashioned.

Creating its own frontend is sexy but can be paintful: there is no "off the shelf" alternative on the market?

You could try to find something in an ISV solution catalog:
