AX2012 Role Center page opens periodically

We are preparing to roll out AX2012 R3 and I am beginning to work on the role centers.  I have one of the default role center profiles assigned to my user account.  The role center page automatically opens in Internet Explorer periodically throughout the day.  Is there some kind of refresh setting somewhere that is causing this to happen? We do use role centers in AX2009, and the pages don't just open on their own.  I did switch profiles to see if it was page specific, but it isn't.

What could be causing this?

    Hi LJ,

    There is a setting in the user options. Go to File, Tools, Options. There is a field called Refresh Time Duration which manages the refresh in minutes. This setting is available in both AX2012 and AX2009. However this setting may not open internet explorer automatically.

    Thank you for the reply.  The setting is 60 min in both AX2009 and AX2012. In AX2009 it just refreshes the data on the role center page, but in AX2012 it opens the page up outside of Dynamics, once every 60 minutes.  Is there a way to make it stop opening the page, but continue to refresh the data?

    Hi,

    I have not noticed this behavior before. Can you try what happens if you set this value to 0? Have you tried installing the latest kernel builds? http://aka.ms/axbuild
