How to book an Intercompany balance on an customer instead of an AR trade account

We have a scenario as follows:
  1. We have several customers that are international
  2. When we book the sale we want to be able to book the DR to AR directly to an IC GL account instead of the AR trade or control account
  3. We can book the DR to a IC account by using the AR posting profiles – see below.
  4. The issue is we do not want the DR to hit the AR subledger but just book to the IC account directly.
  5. We also noticed that when we set up AR posting profiles for customers with different ledger accounts all these transactions are still part of the AR aging which we do not want.

    Hi Michael,
     
    What exact postings do you enter in the application? Your requirement can be achieved if you are using general journals. 
     
    Probably you are posting free text invoices or sales order invoices. In that case, setting up the IC account on the posting profiles is one option. Note that you set filters on AR aging to exclude the IC customers.
    I would suggest setting up a cash discount terms of payment where the invoice will be directly settled to the IC account. You can setup the IC account in the field Cash (ledger account).
