Hi All,

I uploaded opening stock for an item as 650 packs.

Now I want to update quantity in another UOM as 6 cartons of 100 packs and 50 as loose packs.

How can I do this? I am using advance warehousing.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Depending upon the level of warehousing you are using. But simple way is to create a new Unit of Measure Carton if it not exist before.

Open the Item card, then go to Prices & Sales and click drop down Sales Unit of Measure and select New.

Now add a new line with the Carton and mention 100 in Qty. per Unit of Measure and check Base Unit of Measure if needed to change.

    Hi.. Thanks for your reply.

I have created Item unit of measure as Carton...

How I can convert quantity of 650 packs into 6 carton (of 100 packs) and 50 packs as loose in warehouse (its adv warehouse)?

If you have mentioned 100 in Qty per unit of measure for Carton as I mentioned above then you can use carton in any document or journal and it will be 100 units of base unit.

For 50 packs as loose you can repat same process and put 50 in qty per unit of measure

    Hi...

When creating a pick, if the UOM is set as cartons, it won't let me allocate products to it and register the pick. Please can you advise?

You can not store your inventory in different UOMs you will have to pick one UOM as you inventory UOM then you can sell and purchase in different UOM but then you have to define how many base UOM is within each of the sales or purchase UOM's.

And your pick operations will be done in your base unit of measure. And once you have transactions on your item you can not change the base unit of measure.

So the reason the pick is shown in packages is because that is what you defined as your base unit of measure.
