IDMF Archive Model Database

We have IDMF installed for AX 2012 R2 and we have successfully archived some data from a test system to our IDMF archive database.  However, we noticed that IDMF did not create a model database when it created the archive database.  How can we point an AX 2012 R2 AOS to this archive database to view the archived data without a model database?  We are at a loss and struggling to find an answer in the IDMF documentation.  Does anyone have a suggestion on whether we should have a model database with our archive database or if we need to do something special to get our test AX 2012 R2 AOS to point to this archive database that does not have a corresponding model database?  Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

    The IDMF tool only copies the data. You will need to do a backup and restore of your _model database. The name you restore it to should be the same as you IDMF database with a _model added on. For example if your IDMF archive table is AXARCHIVE then the model store database name would be AXARCHIVE_model. That should get you working.

    Thanks, Scott.  I had figured IDMF would take care of this for us but I think what you've posted makes sense.  We'll try by duplicating our model store database in that environment.
