Hi All,

Setting BPF process on entity using plugin we use Process Guid as entity reference in setProcessRequest method. Is there any way to use BPF Name instead process guid ?

I have doubt if we are moving solution to other environment then maybe guid will get change so instead guid thinking to use particular process name.

If anyone idea please share ur thoughts here.

Thanks,

Jharana

    Hi,

Okay. Other option is to create custom entity - Configuration and create two fields

    Name and Value

Store BPF GUID in this entity as record. Now use this entity record to get BPF ID in plugin.

Now use configuration migration tool to migrate this entity record or you can also use OOB export and import wizard to transport this data record.

Enviornment Variable in CRM Online utilizes Entity to store the variables.

    HI,

You can create environment variable to store BPF GUID. Then use environment variable in your plugin.

Now even if BPF GUID changes in target instance, you don't need to change your plugin code. You can simply update environment variable with target BPF guid.
