Hi,
when defining a rule in a bookable resource's work calendar / work hours, a 'capacity' can be defined. I failed to find documentation on what this number does, and wanted to ask here about it.
What is the purpose of the 'capacity', and how is it intended to be used?
One hypothesis is that it acts as a factor that multiplies the specified hours, however that seems not to be the case:
It would seem natural that this integer value acts as a factor on top of the specified work hours in that rule. So in this example:
The resource is set to be working 9-17 equivalent to 8h/day. If the 'capacity' was then set to '2', the resource's capacity would double to 16h/day which can be useful if using a singe bookable resource to manage the working time of a team.
However, the schedule board does not show bookings in alignment with that assumption. Specifically, bookings exceeding 8h/day will be marked as red = over booked.
So it seems this hypothesis is wrong. Any other ideas or input?
Rg,
Alexander
