Dynamics 365 CRM and website integration

Hello

I need some guidance in regards website integration with Dynamics 365 CRM (Sales Professional).

When a customer goes onto website, enters contact information into Enquiry/Contact form on webpage. Webform integration sends this detail to CRM and creates as new lead automatically in the CRM system. How does a client receive a specification sheet for a product? Can this be done through the CRM and what is the process? Or does the client will obtain the document via the website?

Either case, where would that document be stored? This document will have a basic description of the product, plus other bits of information like technical detail, price, etc. Hence it will need to stay somewhere where the price can be automatically updated on it.

Thank you in advance for assistance.

    Good Afternoon!

There are 2 approaches in regards to the document:

Approach 1: If its a static document then it can be attached to the email template which would be used to send the email from flow/workflow.

Approach 2: If this is going to be a dynamic document then there are 2 options... Word Template or SSRS report which will generate a PDF.

Approach 1 is simple to achieve... approach 2 may require some further r&d to achieve...

    Good afternoon

Thank you so much for the answer. What we are struggling to comprehend is where would that document be taken from? Where would it sit?

    One approach can be:

Using Zap Email Parser App... you could automatically get a lead created in Dynamics... whenever user fills-in the contact us form on the website.

Once the lead has been created in Dynamics... a flow/workflow could automatically send an email to the lead with the document as an attachment.
I am assuming that the contact us form will have some fields for product selection... which will be transferred to lead in dynamics on creation...and then your flow/workflow will have logic to select particular email template & document attachment.

Here is a blog link explaining the use-case: How we can create lead in dynamics by parsing email when someone fills-in contact us form on website.

    Hi Camelia Muresan,

    1. When a customer goes onto website, enters contact information into Enquiry/Contact form on webpage. Webform integration sends this detail to CRM and creates as new lead automatically in the CRM system.
      1. Use one of the below methods to connect CRM
        1. Use the Microsoft Dataverse Organization Service (Dataverse) - Power Apps | Microsoft Docs
        2. Use the Microsoft Dataverse Web API (Dataverse) - Power Apps | Microsoft Docs
    2. How does a client receive a specification sheet for a product? Can this be done through the CRM and what is the process?
      1. It will be done through emails through triggers.
    3. Or does the client will obtain the document via the website?
      1. Yes, it is straightforward if you use power pages or power app portals
    4. where would that document be stored? This document will have a basic description of the product
      1. Yes, you can store documents and associate them with each product. You can also store this information with products.

Let me know if I can provide you with more details

    Thanks
