Is there any module available in X++ that runs the CLI commands? For example, `subprocess` module in python does lets you run the CLI commands in addition also has features to log the output in a separate text file.
Hmm, you mentioned both Dynamics AX and Dynamics 365. Dynamics AX existed before Dynamics 365 was introduced; the last version was AX 2012. Naming in Dynamics 365 is a bit chaotic, but people usually call the successor of AX "Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations".
Hopefully this will help you with finding out which product you're using.
Hi goshoom , Thank you for your reply. I'm still waiting on the AX version from my client, so I really I don't have an answer for you at the moment. I will definitely get back to this post when I have answer and share more information here. Please take into consideration that D365 is a very new thing for me and feel free to remove this question. I'll be more specific from next time onwards.
Not only that you didn't reply in your previous thread, but here you again forgot to mention your version of AX. Please add this information to both threads.
If you mean Common Language Infrastrucure, then yes, using .NET libraries from X++ is possible. Details depend on what you want to do and on your version of AX (so it's really important to share it with us).
