White space between ribbon buttons in Dynamics 9.0

My client experiences abnormal white space between standard ribbon buttons in Edge browser.

They are using the "old" ui, not the unified interface. Any suggestions how to fix that? The version of CRM is 9.0.19.8.

I guess it could be some setting on the client side.

This seems to be known issue as we are also seeing the same behavior in Old UI, Requesting you to please Switch to New UI i.e. UCI interface

If you still needs to be get this fixed in Old UI requesting you to raise a ticket with MS support

Thanks, A switch to the new UCI is a big task for us :)

But we just found out that the reason to this problem is the language setting in the edge browser.

Switching language from swedish to english solved the problem :)

We have the same issue.

Switching language from danish to english did not work for us.

Downgrading to Edge version 87.0.664.75 fixed the issue for us.

Hoping that MS fixes the issue in a future version of Edge.

We face the same problem with the newest Chrome v88 update. I assume this is an issue in Chromium v88 as it occurs in Edge too, but not in Firefox.

Language switch does not apply for us as CRM is already displayed in English (Edge too).

We experienced the same issue with Chromium v88.

What we found in the dev tools is that there is a css class in the global.css file called ul.ms-crm-CommandBar-Menu that is setting a margin-left and margin-top on the ribbon buttons.

We downgraded our Chromium back to v87 and this css class was not being called within the ribbon.

Our solution was that we edited the ul.ms-crm-CommandBar-Menu class within the global.css file by setting both of the margins to 0px. We then saved the global.css file and cleared the cache of the Chromium v88 browser. This made the whitespace for the ribbon buttons to go away.

Thanks ThomasM96 ... saved me some time ... what a pain - guess there is some browser identification stuff that has picked up wrong class for Chrome now

We're running 8.2 on-prem and found the same issue with the spacing from Chromium v88.

Using the dev tools and switching the margins off returned the spacing to normal in Chromium browsers and didn't effect Mozilla.

div.ms-crm-TopBarContainer ul.ms-crm-CommandBar-Menu li.ms-crm-CommandBarItem, #contextualActionBar {

margin-top: 6px;

margin-bottom: 6px;

Hi there.

We are running CRM V8.2.24 (on-premise) and are experiencing the same issues.

Interesting is the fact that we even have 10px entered as the value for Margin-Left.

ul.ms-crm-CommandBar-Menu
{
margin-top: 6px;

margin-left: 10px;

}
