GP 18.3.1233 - One or more templates could not be processed

Posted on by 665

Hi All,

I have just upgraded a customer from GP2013 to GP18.3.1233, I have having an issue when you try and print a document using a template in GP.

It is coming up saying one or more templates could not be processed, I have added TPELogging=TRUE to the DEX.ini file but I cannot see anything in the temp folder for any logs being created so can't get any further details about why this is not printing using the template.

Can you please provide some ways to look into this as to why this is happening?

    Hello,

I have seen where during the upgrade the Dexterity Shared components fails to upgrade and is stuck on an old version.  This can cause the error that you are seeing.

Check to make sure you have the correct version of Dexterity Shared Components for your version of GP.  This would be under Add/Remove Programs.   (It should say Dexterity Shared Components 18.0 (64-bit))

If you have the old 2013 in there, I would just remove it then re-install it with the correct version using the installation media.

It can also be installed with your GP Install Media.

Here is a non-Microsoft Article that also describes this issue.

    I hope this helps!
