Slowness while opening AX 2009 (AX 2009 SP1 RU7, GLS India, OS is Windows 2008 R2 64 Bit, and Database is Oracle 10g)

Hi All,

My Client is on AX 2009 SP1 RU7, GLS India, OS is Windows 2008 R2 64 Bit, and Database is Oracle 10g,

All the servers have 32 GB of RAM and Intel Xeon CPU and HDD more then 300GB.

They have One Application server, 3 AOS servers and One DB server, Number of users in house 200 and via Citrix. 100.

Now they connect to AOS via directly installed client (manually) from each user system running on windows 7(32 Bit) or windows XP.

Issues:

Slowness while they opening AX 2009 via these Client Icons installed on their system.

Can anyone comment on the above issue over this environment?

Is this environment? Or we should implement TS concept if yes why?

    in case the client opens on the AOS directly, how match is this faster

    next ping from client to the AOS, what is the response time?

    is it only the first time someone opens a form (AOS caching?)

    is it always for the same form?

    Hi Umesh

    Can you be a bit more specific on what is performing slowly? Is it loading the client itself? Is it waiting on the Role Center page? Is it loading specific lists (ie Customer list, Vendor list, invoices, etc)?

    How slow is slow? Are we talking about 5-7 seconds or 15-20 seconds?
