How to collaborate on a Data Source?

Hi!

I have set up a data source using a Power Query connector. My collegue needs to assist me with editing this data source. She is admin in the CI instance. However, the data source is listed as "Managed by others" and she cannot edit it. How to proceed?

    Hi Adner,

    Unfortunately there's no such thing as sharing, but your colleague can take over ownership (passing it over is not possible) to do further configurations of the data source.

    Prerequisite is that you have your CI-instance configured with a connected Dataverse and data sharing is enabled. And someone that's not the owner of the datasource with enough permissions on the Dataverse  needs to do the following:

    • Open the right dataverse environment on PowerApps. Or on top of the CI>Data sources-page click on access connections to navigate to Power Apps.
    • On the left menu click DataFlows, under the tab 'All Dataflows' search for AAD-account of the owner whose datasources need to be transferred.
    • On the datasource click the three dots, take ownership and search for AAD account of the person taking over.
