I have a user that gets kicked out of AX12 when they trying to go into quotations, what could be cause and how can i fix it without resetting the usage data?

There can be many reasons for that and you need to provide us more information for example whether an adjustment has been made to the form, etc.
Please note that resetting the usage data might help and that you do not have to reset all your usage data but can select which one to reset.

You should delete personalization, i.e. usage data, for that form.
Also, delete the user's AUC files while the AX client is closed.
