Adding Product Codes/Products to CRM

Such a basic question, so I apologize, but I'm a new Admin and need help when it comes to adding new Product Codes to our CRM. I know that I should click into Settings, then Customization, and Customizations, but when I click on the obvious "Product Code" box it doesn't give me the ability to see current Product Codes or add new ones. I imagine I'm off in my approach or missing something easy, so help from the group would be fantastic!

Thanks in advance!

Libby

    Hi Libby,

It seems with the field Product Type.

To customize this field you can follow the steps:

    1) Access the section Customize the System:

    6087.picture_2D00_2.jpg

    2) Point to Entities > Product > Fields and localize the field with Display Name = Product Type, so edit it:

    0257.picture_2D00_3.jpg

    3) On the section Options is possible to edit the current values and add new options/values too:

    5025.picture_2D00_4.jpg

     4) After you made the changes, click on Save and Close and Publish All Customizations

Then, the new values configured are available.

If I understand your question correctly, you want to actually add records of the products you sell?

If so, then you want to go to Settings > Product catalog and add them there (although first you will want to make sure you understand about Products, Units / Unit Groups, Price Lists, Discount Lists, and Price ist Items which bring all these parts together

Hi Gustavo - That is exactly what I needed! Thanks a ton for walking me through it, I easily was able to add in the Product Codes. The only thing I did differently was click on "Opportunities" under "Entities" as the Product Code field was stored there by my predecessor. Anyway, I really appreciate your help.

    Thanks a ton!
