ProdTable Form Usage -- Open with a menu item in grid mode

Currently AX 2012 opens the ProdTable form off the list page Action Edit in Grid.  The form can be opened in the AOT but returns the first production order in details format.

Has anyone had success running the ProdTable form in Grid mode as a separate menu option to avoid the extra steps in activating it off the Edit in Grid option?

Any help in doing this would be much appreciated.

    there is a separate menu item for Edit In grid, located as below

    \Menu Items\Display\ProdTableEditList

    what you want to do basically, providing little more explanation may help us

    Thanks for the reply. That menu item seems to work. We are looking for a way to get back to AX 2009 behavior and not having to go through the All Production Orders option to get to the edit in grid option.

    In testing that option it is using some strange query to open. I can override it and save a new query it would be nice to have it open without remembering any selection.
