The DMF error "Wrong parameters specified"

Hi,

I use set-based DMF to import data into D365FO.

It just works, but yesterday the error "Wrong parameters specified" happened.

Since I didn't find the solution, so re-create the DMF project , and run again, it works again.

Do you know the reason of this error?

Best Regards.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi RongYan,

There could be many reasons. Might be any source field was not mapped properly to staging/Target field or may be because of formating issue in your source file or Data issue in your file.

    Hello Rong,

I had similar issues/errors in cases where the field mapping was not correctly.

    Regards,

    Harshal

    Hi RongYan,

What I experienced in the past is that there are a couple of dependencies among different entities.

The first time you run an import a number of imports might fail. Yet, at the same time some related data are entered that are needed and when you import the second time things might work.

Please check the entities that you import and check the execution sequence.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Reinhard

Yes, we really import a couple of entities, but they have no dependencies each other.

Do you know where can I see the detail error message ?

    Best Regards.

    Hello RongYan,

There is a transaction log and a button that allows you seeing the staging data. In the staging data form you can identify the errors with a brief description on the lower part of the window.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Reinhard

    Thanks!

Could you please tell me the menu path for "There is a transaction log and a button that allows you seeing the staging data." ?

I try to find where I can see the detail message, but just saw the summary message "Wrong parameters specified".

    Best Regards.

    Hi Nayak

    Still haven't found the reason.

But after we re-create the DMF project, this problem is fixed.

    Best Regards.
