Hi,

i have a problem with the compiler , it does not recognize symmetry classes:

for exemple if i open the class PayrollCalculatePayStatementBenefits and i type an empty space and save the compiler shows a syntax error on the line 12

Symmetry.taxEngine.BenefitInfo benefitInfo401_403;

Hi

I already faced this problem.

On AOT\Reference node, add again the library ste-net.dll

You can find on C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics AX\60\Client\Bin folder.

HI , I am facing this issue .I have installed CU8 and Compiler does not recognize Symmetry classes .

I tried the steps to add reference in AX by using the DLL from client bin folder , but still it not working.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Nayaran , try to add the reference in the server bin folder and then in the AOT

AOT > References > add reference and browse the file .

I hope it will be helpful.

Dear @Sathish C and @Narayan PS , i was also facing problem but what mistake i did was just selecting the ste-net.dll file and closing the window (because of new user) later i realized the screen is running down, so used side scroll bar to reach the end of reference dialogue box and use the button OK. After this I compiled individually where the error was occurring hence solved the issue

Have you got any solution for that ...

I am facing the same error even after done all described things also.

I copy paste STE file from a working environment and paste after that added it in AOT but not working

The company that installed AX 2012 tried to fix the problem, they couldn't. Later a Microsoft Engineer connected via teamviewer and he couldn't fix the problem.

Then I simply installed AX 2012 R3 from scratch with the CU12 included in the Update folder, and that was the only way it worked, from the beginning all PayRoll problems appeared as Warnings (128 warnings, all related to PayRoll), but no errors, so I continued the R3 installation without problem.

The solution is, take the original R3 ISO and unpack it in any folder in your PC (i.e. c:\temp\AX R3 DVD), inside you will see a folder called UPDATES, put inside the CU12 with the KB####### name, so you will have it unpacked in c:\temp\AX R3 DVD\Updates\KB3199741, and install AX 2012 R3.

Hi WMW, can you tell me the version of the ste-net.dll, Rightclick, properties, details, Product version, please, the only version that did not give me a lot of warnings was 1.0.1.80, but the company had to upgrade to the new tax system in India and I got compile errors,I changed the STE-NET.DLL to ver 1.0.1.93, made a new reference, updates the AX32Serv.exe.config and the AX32.exe.config files. Now I have no compile errors, but 269 warnings from the Payroll framework.
