one of the Shortcut Dimension code replaces itself on the purchases invoice line to another dimension value code automatically

hello all,

i've this issue on the purchase invoice line, when purchase line transaction is created when i inserted Dimension value on the dimension code field the system automatically replaced it with another dimension value code which was not the one i selected

i need help pls

If it changes the value immediately, then it is some customization bounded to a trigger. You need to check triggers for customization.

Hi @Sheriff,

It is suerly some customization which is doing this. This case was never reported on a standard cronus database. Have a look on related tables / Pages or Codeunit 408.

One more thing that can cause this is - Someone have manually updated / deleted data in Dimension Set Entry or Dimension Set Tree Node.

On which version this is happening, do u have any custom in Dimension Management codeunit? Also have a look at default dimensions of the masters involved in this transaction.

May be you take help of developer and activate debugger and check where exactly the value is replacing.

when inserting the dimension value code on the dimension field immediately its changes to another dimension value code

No trigger! just after insert on the field its changes to another dimension value code

but note not all the dimension value codes that changes, only two dimension values in the purchases Invoice Line that changes to another ones

What you mean by "after purchase invoice line was rechecked the dimension"? After what trigger / action, it changes?

its happen before posting the purchase invoice into the ledgers, means that after purchase invoice line was rechecked the dimension value in the PI itself

You might have a default dimension value established somewhere that you select in the invoice line. Chack if your item card or account card have default dimension value.

At what time does this happen? As in does this happen during the posting or after you recheck the dimension values in the PO itself?

Plus check is there any modifications been done or any default dimensions been added to the vendor or for the item.
