We are in a process of choosing between Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and BC365. Quick question: Can someone please confirm future releases in Finance as:
Plan to Perform incl. analytics and risk management
Treasury incl. Cash & Liquidity management
cost Accounting incl. SPC (Standard product Cost) and Inventory valuation
Hi, Here’s a quick breakdown based on current functionality in D365 Finance (F&O):
Plan to Perform (Analytics & Risk Mgmt)
While not a labeled module, Finance already supports this through budgeting, financial reporting, embedded Power BI, and audit capabilities. Risk management is handled via security roles, workflows, and audit trails.
Treasury (Cash & Liquidity Mgmt)
Yes — D365 Finance has Cash and Bank Management including cash flow forecasting, liquidity visibility, bank reconciliation, and payment formats like SEPA/BACS.
Cost Accounting incl. SPC & Inventory Valuation
The system supports standard product costing (SPC) through the standard cost method. Cost accounting is available via its own module, and inventory valuation methods like FIFO, moving average, and weighted average are all covered.
This is based on current product capabilities, public documentation and my experience — not an official Microsoft statement.
Regards,
Zain
