I was wondering if its possible to tie in an RSS feed with an account. Directly embedded would be great if possible.

You could put an iFrame on an account, and the use any of the web-based RSS feed apps to load the desired feed for an account. You might need to make an RDD account for every CRM account if you need unique feeds to make this work.
Anything else would require custom development, such as using JQuery to parse RSS into a text area on the Account when you open the Account. Example: github.com/.../jquery-rss
