How do I retrieve past customer sales and payment information?

Posted on by 20

I have a customer profile where I have lost customer history when viewing in Dynamics GP 2016.  It was there but now it isn't.  What tables can I find this history on and can it be retrieved back to viewing?  I do not know how it happened or when it happened.  I am thinking sometime in May is when it happened.  Is there a way also to determine who would have deleted these transactions for this customer?

Thank you Adam!  This worked and we were able to retrieve back to our test environment and then we were able to more what was missing over to our tables in production.  Thanks again!

    Hi Connie-

Thank you for posting your question on the Forums.  It is possible a user Removed Transaction History.  Under: (Sales >> Utilities >> Remove Transaction History)  This data would have been stored in the RM30101, RM30201, and RM30301 tables.  Do you have a previous backup from April (or before this happened) of the erring company database that could be restored to a TEST Company?  If so, restore that to a TEST company and verify if the customer history information is there.  If not, when is the last time you restored a copy of LIVE to TEST as that history data may still be in TEST?

There wouldn’t be a way to recover that data if it’s not on a backup and/or in TEST already.  If you do have it, then you could look at copying that data over to the erring company database.  There won’t be a way to determine what user may have done this unless you had Activity or Change Tracking enabled.  Hopefully, you have the needed data in a backup and/or TEST company.
