This is the NAV 2015 Tablet Client and this is not the complete NAV. In order to access NAV you need to install it in a server or in your laptop. At the time of installation NAV will create a service instance.
You can use that service instance in the NAV 2015 Tablet Client to connect to NAV database.
Hi Jibi, what you have found in Microsoft Store is the new NAV 2015 Tablet Client at this requires a functioning installation. To get NAV Server and Client installed on your computer you need to get the installations files from either Customer Source (if you are a customer) or by contacting a NAV Partner of your choice.
Best regards
Yes it came right after running installation setup. I just want to install the window client based navision for demo purpose on windows 8.1
please add some screenshots with that message. is that message shown directly after running the nav2013-setup? are there any other messages, errors? did you check the windows eventlog?
No I did not I just went to microsoft store and it says MS Nav 2013 and about to install it displayed that message. Please help me around to how to install Dynamics Nav to my laptop with server and client at same location means same laptop.
thanks
so i think you mean, you have successfully installed the windows client (RTC) on your laptop. to use this client you need a connection to server, where the nav service is installed. go to that server and start there the rtc client. then goto function button in the left/top corner and click "select server". copy this connection string (server:port/service-instance-name) and use that connection string for the rtc client on your laptop to connect.
Hi,
Sorry I was about to install and configure MS Dynamics Nav on my own laptop. My Operating System is 8.1 so once about to start it says " to get started, you have to connect this app to a service on the internet".
Thanks
please be more specific. its hard to understand what you mean.
