How to add Page permission for a specific set of pages

Hello Experts,

I have created a permission group meanly Purchase Invoice posting user and assigned permission set as follows

  1.                  Table data :- a) Vendor ledger  entry(read,Insert & modify)  b) Vendor (Read) c) G\L account (read) d) G\L entry (RW) and so on....
  2.                 Page permission as "0" implies access to all the pages

Now for a specific page  ex:- Chart of Accounts (16). I need to restrict access to user to view that page though he has Read access to the table. It is practically impossible to set permission set pagewise to all the NAV pages, objects.

My question is can i restrict this to specific page in NAV development environment

Unfortunately, once you give access to them for all pages, you cannot limit to a specific page, the only way is to create another permission set and define the pages you want to have them access, which I understand is a lot of work.

Rather I would customize the page and add some code in the OnOpen Page trigger to throw an error if the user does not belong to a specific user group or by using old-style add the boolean on the user setup and use that.
