Creating a scalable suppression segment

Posted on by 10

I am creating some initial customer journeys. The idea is that nobody will go on more than one of them, even if they sign up to two or more forms that trigger them.

Suppression segments seem like a way to do this, but I need a scalable solution as I don't know how many initial user journeys there will be in future and you can only attach one Suppression segment to a flow.

My question: Would using a suppression segment as a dynamic segment using the solution below (Opened any email in the last three months) stop anyone who had already opened any email from us simply STARTING a new initial journey, or would it cause people to be removed from the journey as they progressed through it and opened an email?

The former would be ideal, the latter would be a problem, and I can't tell which would be the case. Thanks in advance!

RE: Creating a scalable suppression segment

    Hi,

The contact in suppression segments will not enter the journey.

I test four contacts in customer journey and the suppression segment designed by the following filter.

Then the dynamic segment screen out a person who open the specific email in other journey.

Finally only three contacts enter and finish the journy.
